I/O Point and Register Monitor Display
The I/O Point and Register Monitor Display is used to view and/or modify up to 48
individual points in any instrument, or instruments, on your CMX System.
The I/O Point and Register Monitor Display features two rows of twenty-four
separate "slots."
Each slot can be individually configured or can be included within a range of
instrument/multidrop addresses. The data can be displayed in decimal
(Modicon), binary, octal (Reliance), or hexadecimal formats, depending on the
type of instrument selected. Although the system default is set for
Reliance PLCs, changing the type of PLC is a simple matter of toggling the
"PLC
Type" field.
Data can be changed simply by selecting the slot hosting the desired data
point and entering the new value. Range checking is performed in
accordance with the type of data point and instrument for which that slot is
configured. For, example, for Modicon PLCs (584/984/QUANTUM) monitoring
can be done on four types of points including:
- Coil Status
- Input Status
- Input Register
- Holding Register
I/O Point and Register Monitor Displays can be assigned a unique
eight-character name and saved with a description of up to a twenty
characters. A directory listing of all saved I/O Point/Register Monitor Displays can be viewed by
typing "MONITDIR" followed by <ENTER>, as illustrated by the screen below.
