Multi-User Hardware
At the
core of the CMXä System
lies an IntelÔ
Pentium II optimized 32-bit, real-time, preemptive
multi-tasking O/S kernel. CMXä
runs multiple tasks in separate, protected, virtual machines as if
running on a LAN. Dynamic memory management and idle detection technology
ensures that primary resources such as memory and the CPU are used efficiently
with the minimum of overhead.
CMXä
also provides comprehensive multi-user solutions, supporting multiple
users on a single Intel Pentium V class machine. It
includes device drivers to support terminals, printers, mice, modems and other
serially or network driven peripherals. CMXä
also supports multiple graphics screens using ATI's
2D/3D Video accelerator Thin Client Embedded XP Windows workstations.

Features
Single Terminal Solution
The HP T5730 solves the most complex end-user hardware issues by
providing a terminal that can be standardized across the entire
enterprise. The HP T5730’s full suite of terminal emulations
provides seamless access to legacy green screen environments, in
addition to the most demanding Terminal Server environments of today.
Highly Expandable and Customizable
Today’s evolving Enterprise requires access to specific and proprietary
applications. Maxspeed’s extensive customization services allow you to
configure a device that will serve your specific requirements and
high-end applications. Additional memory provides a convenient upgrade
path to the more demanding software clients of the future.
Robust Legacy Access and Extensive Peripheral Support
The HP T5730 provides robust multi-media functionality and
peripheral support including Windows Media Player, Macromedia Flash, and
support for over 9000 devices. Standard ports and peripheral support
include Serial, Parallel, USB, PS/2, Audio In/Out and Ethernet, plus
support for wireless networks.
VOIP Capability Provides The System of the Future
The HP T5730 provides VOIP (Voice Over IP) support with built in
speaker and phone ports. VOIP is an emerging technology that lowers
capital and operating costs by converging separate voice and data
nerworks into a single, multiservice network.
HP Thin Client's FireWall Security
The HP T5730 offers increased security with Microsoft’s Service Pack
2 and a firewall agent enabled by default as the main line of defense
against virus attacks and worms. When activated, the firewall blocks the
various transport mechanisms of a worm, preventing it from reaching your
thin client. Additionally, Windows XP Embedded thin client users are
unable to install unwanted applications or download unknown files
locally to the device.
Silent, Solid State Reliability
The HP T5730 contains no moving parts, making it a completely silent
desktop device. By eliminating the need for a fan or hard disk drive,
the end-user can enjoy a significantly longer product lifecycle than
with traditional PCs.
Simplify Management Tasks with Flash USB and Client Management Suite
IT administrators can manage their entire base of end-users,
enterprise-wide from one location. The enterprise-class Altiris
Client Management Suite simplifies IT support tasks, provides data
security, reduces administration costs and allows central management of
thousands of thin clients.
Alternatively the built in Thin Client Backup utility uses a
USB Flash drive and can backup you HP 5730 in minutes and restore it to
an other Thin Client computer.
