Description

The SP-2000 is a high-end 20-slot, 19" rackmount industrial PC chassis with a 300-watt hot-swappable redundant power supply. Up to six disk drives can be installed into the SP-2000. This unit supports up to four front accessible, half-height storage devices. The SP-2000 can support up to four PC systems in a single chassis which is perfect for space-critical applications. Moreover, the SP-2000 features an advanced fault detection and alarm notification feature. The SP-2000 monitors its own hardware status including power failure, fan failure and temperature. When malfunctions occur, an audible alarm will be activated that alerts the user of maintenance needs. Problems can be clearly identified through the SP-2000's front panel LED.

Multi-system Configuration

Versatile 20-slot ISA/PCI backplanes are available for the SP-2000 to hold two independent PC systems in a single chassis. The SP-2000's front control panel can support the CPU reset buttons and four DIN-5P keyboard ports for each individual system in the unit.

Hot-Swappable Redundant Power Supply

The SP-2000 comes with a 300-watt hot-swappable redundant power supply which increases the system's reliability and extends the system's life time.

Zero Down Time

This power supply unit is composed of two 300-watt independent power modules which share the system's load during normal operation. If one fails, the other will take the full load automatically without disturbing the system's operation. An audible alarm and visible LED will alert the user of system malfunctions.

Easy Maintenance

Maintaining the hot-swappable power supply is simple. Just unplug the bad power module and plug in a good one, all without turning off the main power during replacement.

Fault Detection and Alarm Notification

The SP-2000's fault-detection system will continuously monitor the computer for power failure, fan failure and/or high temperature. Fault conditions are as follows:

  • Power failure: If any power modules fail
  • Fan failure: If any of the four cooling fans fail
  • Excess temp: If the chassis internal temperature exceeds 65° C (149° F)

When a fault is detected, an audible alarm will sound to alert the user. The corresponding LED indicator (located on the front panel) will change color from green to red.
