Profiles
Profile
Displays are standard configurable CMXä
displays designed to give the user a view of up to twenty-four Tags at
once. Control changes can be via the standard change Tag dialog box.
Tags assigned to a profile display need not be from the same Unit and can
be analog or digital.
Besides
the names and descriptions of the Tags assigned to it, a profile display also
shows:
- The current process
variable (PV)
- Control setpoint
(SP)
- Output value (OP)
and
- Scan status
- Control mode
- Initialization mode,
and
- Anti-windup status
Profile
Editor offers three styles of dynamically updated profile displays:
- Faceplate
Profiles resemble the front of a panel-mounted instrument, and show up
to twenty-four Tags side-by-side as if mounted on a rack. Dynamic
elements add to the “control panel” look and feel.
- Tabular Profiles
list data as text in a columnar format.
- Tempbars
feature dynamic vertical temperature bars for as many as sixteen Pvs.
Profile
Editor gives the Application Engineer an easy-to-use utility for adding, and
modifying profile displays. Access to the Profile Editor is granted only
to those with Engineer access-levels or higher via the Profile
Directory Display.
Operators
call profile displays by name as they would any standard display.
Alternatively, a user can call profile displays from the profile directory
simply by highlighting and clicking with the mouse. Profiles can be
assigned several associated displays and a help display, all accessible with
single keystroke combinations.
